Is there anyone that makes just slotted rotors for the Tib?

. . . I mean, those that know about breaks know that drilled blows . . . and drilled and slotted is even worse . . . and I'm in need of some new, good breaks . . . so a nice set of slotted rotors would be nice!!!

any help is appreciated!

thanks,
Jared

Drilling makes the rotors weak, and only has a minor cooling effect. It's basically just there to look cool.

RRM also sells slotted rotors, btw.

thanks for the help guys!!

and yeah, drilling ruins the structural integrity of the breaks

I'm actually impressed w/ myself, i started that thread last night when I was trashed, haha, me and a couple buddies were talkin about cars and whatnot right before I went to bed

Stuctural integrity? Hmm, maybe I should've did a little more research. Oh hell, I'm not drifting mine or anything. (They do look pretty nice though). I heard that slotted rotors = premature break pad wear and were useless anywhere but the track.

God I hope you're not drifting your tiburon. ;) My slotted rotors never really wore my pads prematurely, but I had race pads on also. Though like I said, you people shouldn't be worryin about it unless you are tracking our autocrossing your car. Getting drilled brakes just to look cool is flippin lame. They are still tiny, get a big brake kit if you really wanna impress people.

yeah, but you're gonna drift it, so they might come in handy . . .

and I'm tryin to see if I can find some Powerslot rotors, heard those are nice, w/ hawk pads . . . dunno if they're made for the Tib though

don't have the money for a big break it . . . and Carbon ceramic might be a little overkill

I just ordered a set of Hawk HPS yesterday for my 03 GT. $153 on Autoanything.com, with a 10% discount if you enter the "save10" coupon they mention in the banner (expires 26th I think?), taking price to like $138 shipped. Cheapest I found anywhere else was $137. And I've bought from Autoanything before, so I went with them again. Didn't see the HP+ though.

Edit: By "set", I mean both front and rear. Like $80 something for Front, $50 something for rear.
